Sunday Breakfast
Breakfast this coming Sunday, December 15, will be provided by guest chefs, Rick & Mason Rummel.
   
Please plan on joining everyone in Board Hall between 8:30am and 9:45 where you will not only enjoy great food but a time for fellowship. Let's make Ms. Davidson feel welcome!    
   
Our 9am Sunday Class will be starting a series on area ministries and outreach partnerships for Advent. Here is our schedule over the next several weeks:
  • December 15th- Missy Fountain of Uspiritus/Bellewood, with youth and Daughters of the King.
  • December 22nd - Bernie Strenecky and Joe Ragazzo from Play Ball Puerto Rico.
Christmas Festival of Lessons and Carols 
DECEMBER 21st, 5:30 PM : Please join reflections and many of your fellow parishioners as we express this season of preparation, expectation and hope through song and scripture. This year we will be presenting a mix of new songs, new composers and new arrangements...along with some established favorites.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, Dec. 21st at 5:30 at St. Luke's church in Anchorage.  
 
Please bring a neighbor and a friend...and enjoy this evening of song and scripture.
2020 Contribution Envelopes are available at both main entrances to the church.  
Please be sure to sign your name (legibly) and the envelope box number on the sheets provided.

St. Luke's Book Club 
YOU ARE INVITED to St Luke's Book Club on December 18 at 7:00. Our book selection for December is  Heirs of the Founders, The Epic Rivalry of Henry Clay, John Calhoun, and Daniel Webster
, elucidated by noted historian, H. W. Brand, is the story of how in 19th century America, these political giants battled to decide the future of our democracy.  
 
MEETING INFO : Lyman House, December 18, THIRD (3rd) Wednesday monthly at 7:00 PM for 2+- hours of rousing conversations and introductions to books of almost every genre. At the end of each meeting, we discuss books for the next month's selection, so bring your suggestions with you.    
We invite you to join us!

Christmas Decorations   
The WREATH hanging will be on Saturday, December 21 at 10:00am and the decorating of the POINSETTIAS will be on Sunday, December 22 after the 10:00am service.

Please plan to help out with one or both days if you possibly can.

Save the date: The Christmas decorations will be taken down on Sunday, January 5, 2019, after the 10am service. Remember, many hands makes quick work, and more fun!   Thank you!!

No Centering Prayer  
There will be NO Centering Prayer for the month of December due to Christmas Eve services.  
 
Please join us for the next Centering Prayer on
January 28, at 6pm at the Lyman House (church office) conference room.  
 
We meet every fourth Tuesday of the month.
 
Altar Flower Memorials for 2020   
It's time to schedule for 2020 altar flower memorials. Emails have gone out to everyone.  
 
Please respond promptly as the first request for a date is honored.

Lay Pastoral Care Ministry 
Pastoral care is a ministry provided by volunteer parishioners to individuals needing home, hospital, nursing home or rehabilitation facility visitations.
 
Arrangements can be made for communion and meals as requested.
           
All information is confidential unless you give permission to share with others. CALL THE CHURCH OFFICE TO LET US KNOW YOUR NEEDS.
 
Reminder, if you do go to the hospital, let the hospital know your church affiliation or try to have your caregiver do so. Our ministry is here for you in time of need so remember to call the church office at 245-8827 or e-mail at [email protected]
