Yoga with young children involves listening, breathing, moving and calming our bodies. Each thirty minute class has the children learning fun animal poses, dancing, and participating in imaginative group action activities (think snow ball fight with puff balls). We end with a relaxation period and all listen closely for the yoga bell to finish resonating.
With a companion stuffed animal on their stomachs to help intentionally notice breathing, and an optional foot rub from Mrs. Creer, class concludes with happy farewells of "Namaste."
It is amazing to see the calming effect of this special time in our school day.
Note: Twos/Toddlers will participate
beginning in January.
