Hayward Seeks Route 238 Development Input
Hayward will host a community meeting to discuss the development potential for nearly 100 acres of city-owned property originally earmarked for a State Route 238 bypass. At the forum set for Nov. 15, 2018, city staff and consultants will provide an overview of the parcels and take feedback on what the community would like to see built on the sites. Full Story
Morgan Hill Adopts Inclusionary In Lieu Fees    
At a October 17, 2018 meeting, the Morgan Hill City Council formally modified the City's housing in-lieu fee from $12.92 per square foot of the total project (8% affordability) to housing in-lieu fees that will equate to the recently adopted 15% and 10% ownership Inclusionary Housing Policy as adopted on July 25, 2018. Education Edge: Webinars Discuss 2 Current Builder Challenges
Two upcoming webinars will help builders better understand some ongoing developments in safety and trade. A free webinar sponsored by Builders Mutual, Lessons Learned: OSHA Silica Rule 1 Year After Implementation, Thursday, Nov. 8, 2-3 p.m. ET, will look at the first year of the OSHA Respirable Crystalline Silica in Construction Standard in retrospect. Fairfield Shelter Project with Richmond American Homes
Richmond American Homes is teaming up with HomeAid Northern California to remodel a shelter for families experiencing domestic violence in Fairfield. We are partnering with Safequest Solano, who will provide housing, services, and counseling for the families. The goal of this work is to create a dignified and welcoming home for the families experiencing trauma so they can have a place to catch their breath and get back on their feet!
