New WAMA Website

The WAMA Board is very excited to announce that we have upgraded to a new website that has many great new features for our members! We are in the process of going through and identifying the 'Bundle Administrator' for each member. Once a Bundle Administrator is set up for your organization, they will receive emails to complete the profile set up process. Keep your login information, because we hope you will use this site frequently going forward! The site will be used to register for the Conference each year, receive invoices and get access to the member forums where you can communicate with other WAMA members.

If you have any questions or need help with your account, please contact Bob O'Brien .

Dream Flight USA Stem Shuttle

Have you heard of the Dream Flight USA Stem Shuttle? Since 2006, the Dream Flight USA Foundation has been on a mission... To motivate students in the upper elementary and middle schools to learn. The STEM Shuttle, a mobile classroom, has been traveling throughout Wisconsin and neighboring states since 2006, bringing a unique hands-on earning opportunity to the students in grades 4 - 8.

People often ask if the STEM Shuttle is the only one of its kind. The answer is yes. The shuttle program uses space travel to excite students about learning, and using STEM related hands-on activities to engage them while on board the shuttle.

Airport Law Alert - FAA Reauthorization Becomes Law

On October 5, 2018, the President signed H.R. 302 into law as the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018. This represents the first long-term reauthorization of FAA and AIP since 2012; the agency has been operating under interim- and short-term extensions for some time. In addition to the general reauthorization, the Act contains a number of changes to existing law that will have an effect on airport sponsors. This Alert provides detailed discussions of the most significant of those changes, including those concerning the Airport Improvement Program, Passenger Facility Charges, non-aeronautical development on airports, drones/unmanned aerial systems, and noise issues. A longer list of changes of interest to airport sponsors appears on the end of this Alert.
This Alert is not intended to be a comprehensive summary of all of the provisions that may be of interest to airports and their lawyers, but serves to highlight the provisions that most directly affect airports.
