Resolutions now available for 2020 Convention
  
The resolutions package for the 2020 UBCM Convention is now available. UBCM's Executive has revamped the process for the handling of resolutions at the 2020 Convention to work within the requirements of the online platform that will host the event. In keeping with overall reduced program time for Convention, the resolutions session has been shortened, a series of Special Resolutions has been identified for debate, and delegates will make more use of voting blocks. Nominating Committee Report Now Available
  
In response to a Call for Nominations by UBCM's Nominating Committee, the Nominating Committee Report has been prepared and is now available online. There will be an election for Third Vice-President, Director at Large, and Vancouver Metro Area Representative. Please contact the Chair of the Nominating Committee, Councillor Arjun Singh for further information about the process. 
C2C Funding Available
  
Applications are being accepted for the 2020/21 Regional Community to Community Forum program. The next application deadline is September 4, 2020. Applicants are reminded that in-person meetings should meet social distancing and other public health guidance in relation to COVID-19, and that virtual C2C meetings can be considered for funding. Tk'emlúps te Secwe̓pemc - Kamloops Collaboration
  
The City of Kamloops and First Nation of Tk'emlúps te Secwe̓pemc have built a relationship through years of collaboration on projects ranging from transit service to park trails to plans for a new cultural centre. Theirs is one of the stories featured in Pathways to Collaboration, a project to showcase the growing number of successful economic development collaborations and partnerships between First Nations and local governments in BC.
