Howard Ikemoto Cabrillo Scholarship Fund

We invite you to join us in honoring Howard Ikemoto. This wonderful piece by Howard is being auctioned off by PVA at  Charity Auctions .  The opening bid on this piece is $3000, or you may make a donation to the fund on this site. We would like to remember the incredible contribution Howard made to the community of artists in Santa Cruz County, by naming a scholarship fund in his honor at Cabrillo College. Pajaro Valley Arts is proud to display this piece in our gallery though the course of the auction. We have shown Howard's work, as well as generations of his students' work. We are a family of artists, students, educators and art fanatics, who want to honor a man who enriched our lives.

All proceeds will go to the Howard Ikemoto Scholarship fund.

Transitions was painted by Howard Ikemoto in 1992. It is oil on canvas, with unpainted wrapped edges 1½" deep. Unframed, this painting is ready to hang. It is 42" w x 66" h, and  was donated by the Ikemoto family.

Required Minimum Distribution
Do you need to take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from your IRA account this year? These annual withdrawals are subject to ordinary income taxes.

You might consider making a charitable contribution to PVA directly from your IRA.  Charitable contributions from your IRA can satisfy your RMD without having to report additional income.  Talk to your financial advisor to find out if this arrangement creates a tax benefit for you!

Art Supplies: THROUGH FEBRUARY ONLY
Paint Brushes Do you have  art supplies  you no longer need? We are looking to provide local art teachers with quality art supplies that will further their teaching and creativity. If you would like to donate your excess supplies, Adrienne Momi will be collecting them.  Artists are invited to drop off donated supplies at her studio, 9083 Soquel Dr. during the month of February.  If she is not there, please leave items behind the bamboo and text her that your donation is there (831-332-1178).  If you would like a letter documenting your  donation , please leave an inventory with your contact information.

Paper, canvas, watercolor and acrylic paints, drawing materials, craft supplies, fabric and any other wonderful things not needed in your studio are greatly appreciated. If you have art books that you no longer need, they would be great additions.
