Be inspired: 2019 Awards Gala honorees and ticketing details announced
Carolinas credit union system professionals are invited to be inspired at the  Carolinas Credit Union Foundation Awards Gala  on January 30, 2020 in Charlotte, NC. Held in conjunction with the Carolinas Credit Union League’s LAUNCH Conference , the Gala and new Afterparty is an affair you don’t want to miss!

The Foundation is honored to welcome back Creighton Blackwell as the emcee to lead the evening’s recognition of four individuals for their achievements, one credit union for its commitment to philanthropy, and six additional credit unions for their recognition in CUNA’s state-level awards competition.

New for 2020 is an Afterparty hosted by the Young Professionals of the Carolinas which will begin immediately following the Gala. The Gatsby-themed casino Afterparty will feature live-dealer casino games, cash bar and photo booth. Everyone is invited! Admission is FREE, and its $20 to play the casino games of Blackjack, Poker, Rolette, and Craps. Proceeds benefit the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation.

15th Annual Carolinas Cup: nearly $60,000 raised!
Final totals are in, and the support from Carolinas credit unions made this year's 15th Annual Carolinas Cup a huge success, with nearly $60,000 raised for Victory Junction! The  friendly tournament between North and South Carolina  is organized each year by CUNA Mutual, with special recognition owed to the many generous sponsors, auction contributors and players!

Attention, small CUs! Grants are due December 13th!
The Hamilton Professional Development Grant program, provided in partnership with Summit Credit Union, provides grants to small credit unions ($50 million or less in assets) for use towards development and training for staff and volunteers. $20,000 will be awarded for 2020!

The 2020-2021 Carolinas Credit Union Foundation scholarship cycle officially launched this month, with applications due on February 1, 2020. Any member from a CU based in North or South Carolina can apply so promote this opportunity to your members!

The Carolinas Credit Union Foundation was incorporated in 1993 as a charitable organization dedicated to the embodiment of the “people helping people” philosophy of credit unions. Its mission is to empower and inspire credit unions in the Carolinas through collaborative opportunities to enrich our communities. The Foundation is currently partnering with Victory Junction to power its outreach program called Reach, bringing specialized camp-style programming to children and families year-round at hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses in the Carolinas. It also serves as a partner in philanthropy with credit unions, assisting charitable giving through donor-advised funds, managing scholarship programs, supporting small credit unions with professional development grants, and aiding disaster relief for the local, national, and global credit union communities.
