SO LONG 2018!
As we enter into December and the holiday season, we want to take a moment and thank all of our AIA EKC Members for another wonderful year!! We just wrapped up our CANstruction event and annual meeting / holiday party last week, along with our annual AIA KY Planning Meeting as we gear up for next year!

A WONDERFUL EVENING FOR AIA EKC:  
This past Thursday night, AIA EKC celebrated another blessed year with good food and conversation as members and allied sponsors mingled at HopCat downtown.

CANSTRUCTION LEXINGTON 2018 

2ND ANNUAL CANSTRUCTION A HUGE SUCCESS: 
The Canstruction Awards were presented at the AIA EKC Annual Meeting / Holiday Party. The teams will donate over 16,000 cans to God's Pantry!!

END OF YEAR CEU REMINDER: 

REMINDER : don't forget to complete your Continuing Education requirements as an AIA member (18 LU | 12 HSW) and for the state of Kentucky by December 31

Kentucky licensed architects must now satisfy their annual requirements (12 CEH HSW) during the period beginning January 1 and ending December 31 of the previous calendar year (  201 KAR 19:087). You are encouraged to keep attendance certificates as proof of your participation whenever possible, as these are a valuable supplement to your AIA transcript.

  • Congratulations to Melinda Joseph-Dezarn, AIA on her new position as Director of Facility Design & Construction for Fayette County Public Schools
  • AIA Kentucky staff member, Kelly Ives, AIA has been appointed to serve a two-year term as the CACE liaison to the National Associates Committee, which is dedicated to representing and advocating for AIA's associate members in AIA's national, regional, state and local chapters. Kelly joins EKC member and 2019 EKC Secretary, Craig Chamberlain, AIA, on the NAC's Advisory Committee. Both traveled to Santa Fe, New Mexico November 1-3 for the group's annual transition meeting.
