The Virginia Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team picked up its first win of the year as it took down Marymount University, 13-8, at Birdsong Field Thursday evening. With the win, the Marlins move to 1-1 on the year while the Saints move to the same record.

The #4 Virginia Wesleyan University men's basketball fell to fifth-seeded Washington and Lee, 77-69, Thursday evening in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) quarterfinals played at the Salem Civic Center. With the loss, the Marlins' season concludes, ending with a record of 13-13.

The #5 Virginia Wesleyan University women's basketball team fell to fifth-seeded Randolph-Macon, 72-66, in overtime Friday afternoon in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) quarterfinal. With the result, the Marlins end the year with a record of 14-12.

Tennis Falls to Salisbury; Downs Goucher 5-4 for First Win
The Virginia Wesleyan University Men's Tennis team visited Salisbury University on Saturday where they played a double header. After a tough morning loss to Salisbury, the Marlins defeated Goucher College in their afternoon match for their first win of the season. Last season the Marlins fell 9-0 to Goucher, picking up their first win over the Gophers in recent memory.
