Martin Luther King Day, Monday, January 21 - CLOSED.

The Senior Center side remains open during the full reconstruction project.

Due to construction, parking at the Community Center is limited. Please consider carpooling or using Easy Ride (303.464.5534) during special events. 
Additional parking will be available across the street at the George Di Ciero City & County Building.

LAKESHORE CAFE SPECIAL EVENT LUNCHES

Lakeshore Cafe will be closed on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 for New Years Day, and Monday, January 21 for Martin Luther King Day.

Meals on Wheels  
Fresh, hot, nutritious meals are delivered to your home by volunteers, Monday through Friday, between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Frozen meals are available for delivery on Friday if you need meals or the weekends as well. If you are interested, or need ore information, please call 303.464.5532.

Resource Consultation  
If you or someone you know is having trouble caring for themselves or is caring for an older family member, please call our office for assistance at 303.464.5529. We can help identify needs for service, resources and the  decision making  process.

Support Groups  
Support Groups bring together people who are going through or have gone through similar experiences. Broomfield Senior Services offers a variety of support groups to provide you an opportunity to connect and gain support from others. Groups include Dementia Caregiver, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Diabetes, Grief and more. For a full list of Support Groups with meeting times, stop by our front desk or visit our website .

Handyman Services  
The Senior Volunteer Handyman Program provides the services necessary to enhance the quality of life for seniors 60+ residing in Broomfield County. The goal of the program is to help seniors live safely and independently. Services include minor home repairs and maintenance and are provided by skilled volunteers. Please call 303.464.5529 or email [email protected]  for more information. In addition to the volunteers, the Handyman Program is also made possible by the generous contributions of individuals. All contributions are voluntary and confidential. If you would like to contribute, please call 303.464.5526.

Caregiver Respite Program  
Are you providing care for someone 60+ in Broomfield County? Please contact Senior Services at 303.464.5529 or email [email protected]   to find out how the Caregiver Respite Program may be able to assist you with no cost, temporary, in-home services. Qualifications are based on need. This valuable program provides respite care for family members and/or regular caregivers while supporting seniors the opportunity to age in place. Funding is made possible thanks to a local grant and the generous voluntary contributions of individuals which allow for additional care, and are strictly confidential. If you would like to contribute, please call 303.464.5526.

Easy Ride is a door to door transportation service for Broomfield residents over the age of 60 or individuals with a qualifying ADA disability.  Easy Ride provides transportation for medical, nutritional and personal appointments. To become an Easy Ride client, you will need to fill out a client information form, and return it to the Broomfield Community Center. This form is available at the front desk of the Broomfield Community Center, by phone 303.464.5534 an d on our website. For further information or if you need help filling out the information form please call 303.464.5534.

Easy Ride will be closed on the following dates:  
January 1, January 21, and February 18.


Veteran's Medical Mobility program connects members of the community with senior veterans who face the challenge of obtaining reliable transportation to and from VA facilities  and 
VA-related appointments. With a generous heart and friendly  smile, our volunteers pick up senior vets and escort them to and from their home and their medical appointments. Sign up here to receive rides or to volunteer to provide rides!

Current Volunteer Openings:

Meals on Wheels Drivers
We're currently looking for drivers for Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays to deliver freshly prepared meals to homebound older adults in Broomfield.

Handyman:
Are you handy around the house and interested in helping others stay safe at home? We are looking for YOU! Additional volunteer handymen are needed to assist with minor household repairs. 

Dining Room Server:
Work alongside other volunteers to set, serve, and bus the daily lunch service. Interact with patrons and enjoy a delicious lunch during your shift. One server is needed to fill a weekday shift every Wednesday. Shift is from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Weight Training for Active Adults

Instruction is given on the weight machines and cardio equipment. Learn the appropriate settings and techniques for different exercises designed for your body and its changing needs. This six week class is taught by a certified personal trainer. 

Active Adult Yoga workshop
Monday, January 14
1:30 - 3 p.m.
R$7/NR$9
Work with a yoga instructor in a small group to focus on the primary poses used in yoga class. Whether you have been attending for years or are new to your yoga practice, you will benefit from the workshop.
