In Oxford County we are all spread out and live in very rural communities. This holds both many positives and challenges. One thing we see in rural communities is that it is harder to be social which can limit our supports.
We are learning that the stronger relationships we have in the community, the healthier we can be physically, emotionally and it can even help make our families healthier and happier! (

This year, let us all make a resolution to get to know our neighbors. We can join a work group, parent group, or even a play group! Find out more about what is happening in our communities and take it a step further to be part of the changes for building and growing a stronger and healthier Oxford County!

3 Week Series for Parent with children ages 2-12 years
Learn a simple yet effective technique to get kids to STOP doing what you don't want them to do and to START what you want them to do. Learn to encourage positive behavior, independence, and self-esteem development. This program is recommended for parents with children ages 2-12 years.

Planting Pinwheel Gardens
You may be seeing the blue and silver pinwheels around again. We plant them every April in awareness of Happy Childhoods. This is a national effort. Please help in planting these gardens.
