Dear PCA Families,

Congratulations to this year's Auction Art Contest winners! This year's auction theme is The Bountiful Table: Sowing, Harvesting, Feasting. A special congratulations to PCA senior, Kathryn Komerska, for being named this year's Grand Prize Winner with her piece "Pleasant Afternoon" which will be featured on the cover of this year's Auction catalog!
Nearly 100 entries were submitted, and our winners were blindly selected (all names covered) by two local art judges. The judges based their awards on creativity and best representation of this year's Auction theme.  CLICK HERE for a list of this year's winners .

Be sure to join us tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 pm in the Main Gym Lobby for our Artists' Reception! This special reception will honor the winners of our Auction Art Contest, as well as give you a chance to preview (and bid on!) the beautiful works of art.

Have a wonderful weekend! I hope to see you on Saturday morning at the Auction!

Warmly,
Dr. John Engstrom
Head of School
Dear PCA Families, Friends, and Team Members,

I am writing you from Logan airport, having just arrived from Virginia with my dear wife, Christy, en route to PCA for this week’s auction! We are full of joyful anticipation of being with you. Thank you, Dr. Engstrom and Alice, for inviting Christy and me and for hosting us at your table Saturday. We warmly look forward to meeting more PCA families and supporters, and to take in some of the incredible art work (as well as breakfast—my favorite all-around meal). From what Dr. Engstrom has described, t he Annual Auction highlights the best of our community: celebration together for God’s bountiful provision and purposing together to make PCA more affordable for even more wonderful families. Celebration and purpose, combined! What a combination.

Thank you for your continued support for PCA in prayer, in your labor, and in your bountiful giving. And thanks especially to Elizabeth Nanda for quarterbacking the entire event! I look forward to meeting many of you this Saturday, reconnecting with those we have met, and introducing you to my family.

Mike
Congratulations to  PCA senior Alicia O’Neil  for being recruited to join next year's women's volleyball team at Division III at Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, Maine. This week, Alicia signed her letter of intent to play at Maine Maritime Academy during a special ceremony held at PCA. She will begin her study of Power Engineering Technology in the fall. Alicia has been attending PCA since preschool. She is an honors student, achieving Honors or High Honors throughout the majority of her high school career. Alicia has been a keystone for PCA's volleyball program, one of the few four-year starters, and was co-captain of this year's team. Coach Kevin Carreiro described her as "one of the most versatile, athletically gifted individuals I have had the pleasure of coaching...one of those players we could plug into any position, and she would excel." We will miss you and wish you the best, Alicia!
