A public meeting to discuss the Neighborhood Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project "Avalon Place", (WBS Number: R-002011-0089-3) has been scheduled for Thursday, January 25, 2018, from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, 2450 River Oaks Blvd., Houston, TX 77019.
This project effects a number of HOAs and townhome and condo developments in the area, including Avalon Place and Glendower Court HOAs. The project effects neighborhoods in District G bounded by San Felipe St. on the north, S. Shepherd Dr. on the east, Westheimer Rd. on the south, and Kirby Dr. on the west.
Othon, Inc. is currently designing the project.
In July, 2017, with City Council's adoption of the FY2018-2022 Capital Improvement Plan, this project was converted from a simple sanitary sewer improvement project to a complete neighborhood reconstruction. Rebuild Houston funds (DDSRF) were added to reconstruct new storm drainage and streets. This is now a $24,874,000 project.
