Get Up and Go
by
 Dr. CarolMarie

Has your "get up and go, got up and went?", without you???  I think I can identify!  I don't know if it is due to my travels right before the holidays, the holidays themselves, or a combination of both which makes me want to return to my bed.  Could it be the result of getting over this flu bug from Hell that has attacked so many and has sapped our strength?  Have we been burning our candle at both ends and our bodies are saying "STOP!"?  Could it be we've experienced disappointment lately?  Maybe we are in the midst of a transition in our jobs, ministry or a relationship?  God is doing something in our lives as we enter this year!  It's a time of sorting and decluttering!  It's also a time to spend time with God so He can prioritize our lives!  January is a great occasion for a fresh focus!

On an amazing Sid Roth program recently, there were three prophets, one being Chuck Pierce, sharing insights on 2018.  The content of the program really ministered to me. I found some answers and much needed awareness to help me with the questions I asked above.  (I encourage you to watch this same program at:  https://youtu.be/3luBXEY2MGM).

As I joined the program, the Lord began to amplify what was shared and made it personal to and for me.  Now is a time of sifting and sorting.  God also brought to my memory some of the truths He has taught me previously, of which I will share:   Specialists in the areas of organizing tell us the more order there is in our lives, the more peace we will have!  Too much of anything without order breeds confusion.  There is a lady of which I know that has her closet in an order for her lifestyle. When she adds one new item to her closet she makes sure another piece already in the closet goes away!  Another helpful slogan for us is, "A place for everything, and everything in its place!" It doesn't work if we try to fit too much into any space or time!  It is also not wise to live beyond our time and energy!  We need to let God order our lives!  When we submit to Him, He can stretch our time and so much more can be accomplished when He is in control!

Why do we feel more significant when we do a lot?  Do we determine our value by what we can accomplish and how many things we can cross off our lists?  If you were raised during the era in which I was raised, the special compliment we received was, 'you did a good job'!  In our minds our value was because of what we could do.  And so the thought process was, "if we didn't do a lot, we must not be important".  (I know I interpreted it that way in my mind.) Now if our 70-year-old bodies (or whatever age) doesn't act like it did when we were 30, we need to give ourselves some slack.  (But don't go the other way either!  I know people that think 70 is old, so they just give up and become a couch potato!) We need to be wise and live healthy!

How do we rate significance?  It's not what we have done that makes us significant...it's that Jesus can be significant through us!  It's not our performance...it's who He is in us!  It's all about Him!

When I have my morning prayer time I lift my day, appointments and plans to Him and submit to Him in order for Him to have His way!  I've learned to NOT ask Him to bless my plans, but to submit my life to Him and align with what He has planned.  To be significant is to have Him say at the end of the day, "You did good today, Honey!"  It may have meant I encouraged the waitress at the restaurant or hugged a teenage girl at the basketball game who really needed to be loved.  It's all about letting Him be Lord in everything we do!

God said He will give us the desires of our hearts if we delight in Him. (Ps 37:4) When we delight in Him it includes being actively grateful and we become a delight to be around!  Life becomes a delight because we are not complaining or grumbling and we are actively trusting Him!  He will make room and bring about opportunities for the desires of our hearts to be manifested in their time and season! Ecc 3:3 (We don't have to "make it happen"!) This brings joy and a peace that can rule our hearts!  His joy releases strength, for the "joy of the Lord is our strength"! (Neh 8:10) When Peace rules our mind, will and emotions it counteracts stress!  Peace acts as the umpire, settling with finality all questions which arise in our minds!  (Col 3:15 Amplified translation) If it takes away from our peace, say like an umpire, "OUT!"  If it adds to our peace, declare "It's SAFE!" and let it stay!  Let our "Get up and Go" be ordered by the Lord!

An added note I feel the Holy Spirit wants me to share:  I feel our President is feeling weary too.  Sometimes as intercessors we feel what others are going through so that we can pray effectively for them.  Please join me especially this week to pray for President Trump and our leaders for wisdom to do what is best for our nation.  Pray Ephesians 1:17 and 18 that the eyes of their understanding would be enlightened with truth!  That as a nation we would let God order our steps and that righteousness will triumph over evil! (1 Tim 2:1-4)  Widows, put a border of protection around President Trump and his family as well as Vice-President Pence and his household!  Pull on the strategies of Heaven for them and their staff!  God will establish the borders (territory) of the widows! (Pro 15:25)  Let's let peace act as Umpire over our nation as well!  And let us "Get up and Go" with righteousness!
