September is a time of beginning for all,
Beginning of school.... beginning of fall... (Unknown)

...And also a time for the Memorial Library of Nazareth & Vicinity to begin our Fall programming!  For our youngest patrons, the very popular Toddler Shake 'n Boogie and story times for babies and preschoolers will restart on September 8th.  We invite our adult patrons to revisit the American West through the musical talents of guitarist/vocalist Marc Berger's original songs on September 30th.  We encourage families and community members to reconnect at Nazareth's 275th Anniversary Parade and Birthday Party on September 12th and the Memorial Library's Touch a Truck event on October 3rd.

Interest in learning?  For children grades 3-5, we have two Art Workshops starting in October.  And for owners of small businesses or those interested in blogging, we offer a class in social media.

Looking for a way to give back to the community?  How about donating a pint of blood at the American Red Cross blood drive on September 29th, or becoming involved with the Friends of  MLNV on September 29th, or volunteering at our Touch a Truck event.

Stay tuned for more events in October... we've only just begun!

Friends of the Library Membership Opportunities
Friends of the Memorial Library of Nazareth and Vicinity will meet on Tuesday, September 29th at 6:30 in the Library Director's Office.  The Friends is a group of community members who raise money to provide programs and to purchase items for the library collection which surpass the library's annual budget.   Without the Friends, many of the annual events that you and your children participate in would not be offered such as the Young Authors Program and educational and entertaining programs for adults and children throughout the year.  The next Friends Book Sale will be held November 5th through November 7th.  They will begin collecting books, DVDs, and CDs during the first week of October.   If you would like to get involved, please join the Friends and become part of our library's success.  The membership form is available at: http://nazarethlibrary.org/contribute/FriendsMembershipForm.pdf
