LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE! January 30 is the due date for books checked out from the Main Stacks by students on or before Thursday, Jan. 24. Books may be renewed once online or by bringing them in physically to the circulation desk if you have exceeded the renewal limit. The new due date is April 5, the Friday after Spring Break. Click on "Library Account" online at   http://www.luther.edu/library/ , and sign in with your NorseKey to see what you have checked out and when it is due.

Annual Wii Bowling Tournament in the Book Shop — Team entries are due Friday, February 15 and the Wii Bowling tournament starts the week of February 11-March 15. Gather four of your friends or co-workers and take a mental wellness break in the Book Shop. Retired staff and faculty are welcome too. Please sign your team up in the Book Shop or online on the Recreational Services website .


RERUNS

Tiffany Patterson , Vanderbilt University associate professor of African American and diaspora studies, and history, and director of undergraduate studies in African and African diaspora studies, will give the Luther College spring convocation address at 9:40 a.m. Thursday, February 7, in the Center for Faith and Life, Main Hall. 

Luther understands that many families have been impacted by the government shutdown. While the shutdown is in effect, the Office for Financial Services (OFS) would be happy to work with students and their families to make special arrangements. We appreciate the work that you do and hope this flexibility will enable you to meet your monthly financial obligations. Deadline Approaching - Peace Scholar Applications: Due February 1 -- Sophomores and Juniors interested in studying in Norway this summer can apply to the Peace Scholars program. A scholarship provides funding for two students to study for a week at the Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue in Lillehammer, and then for six weeks at the University of Oslo. Details can be found at:  https://peacescholars. wordpress.com/ .  Applications should be sent to  [email protected] .
