Eddie and I loved seeing our Norwegian friends, Arild and Ardena, at DCSX!! We first met Arild in 2008 the first time I went with Eddie to visit his family in Oslo; we met Ardena a few years later. Oslo has a growing WCS community and now hosts two events!

CSDS looks forward to seeing everyone at our Holiday Dinner-Dance, with instructor/DJ
Kristin Wenger, on Saturday, December 15th at the
Municipal Arts Center (the MAC). Dinner is from 6-7 pm, our lesson is from 7-8 pm (Beginner & Beyond Nightclub 2-Step) and our dance is from 8-11 pm with our Westie Power Hour,
all WCS music, from 10-11 pm!
DINNER MENU:

Instead of paying $23 for the evening, why not become a CSDS member for just $15, take advantage of member pricing for our dances and workshop weekends for the coming year, and then the December dinner and dance are FREE?! You can become a member here or pay on-site.

Charlottesville Dancers @ The Open!!
Charlottesville represented well at The Open 2018 in Burbank, CA over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, with three local dancers competing their routines! Alyssa Gillespie and partner Rob Glover in the Showcase division, Allison Bennett and partner Ben McHenry in the ProAm division, and Jacen Northcutt and partner Taylor Garrish in the Young Adult division. All three couples knocked it out of the ballpark! Congratulations, we are so proud of you!

Adela is often the Table/Group Dinner Organizer for events attended by Charlottesville Westies ~ if you're planning to go to any of these or other events, let her know! And reserve your hotel room ASAP as the event hotels usually sell out well in advance; you can always cancel it later. Don't wait until you decide to go to book your room; it will be too late!
Gaia Read often organizes roadtrips from Charlottesville for the DC/MD/NoVA dances/events; contact her if you're interested in carpooling sometime.
