Debt Free in Three Update:

With a just little over four months to go in our Debt Free in Three campaign, Saxe Gotha members have demonstrated their generous giving and stewardship - we have reduced the Saxe Gotha mortgage debt from $2.1 million to $713,000 through a combination of targeted gifts, year-end operation surplus funds, regular mortgage payments and reduced interest of almost $76,000. This is outstanding progress for two-and-a-half years, and we're in the home stretch! We are grateful for the commitment of such faithful givers, and through their efforts and example, we know that we can reach our goal of being debt free in the next several months! Together, with our combined energies and His continued blessings, we can do this!

Many thanks must be given to our Finance Committee, the Stewardship Committee and the Debt Free in Three Committee for their leadership and dedication to this important and meaningful endeavor. And through the insight and stewardship of our various church committees, we were able to commit $59,000 from 2018 operating surplus directly toward our mortgage principal.

So, we're close - but not quite at the finish line. We've got a couple of fundraising events in the next few months - the golf tournament and the yard sale - specifically for our Debt Free in Three campaign. Whether you have already given or not given toward this effort, I ask you to prayerfully consider what you can do to help put us over the top.

If you have questions about how to give, why to give or when to give, just let me know or contact a member of the Finance, Stewardship or Debt Free in Three committees, and we'll strive to answer them for you.

Faithfully,
Alisha Hudson
