Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Agencies
The four regional Child Care Resource and Referral (CR&R) agencies provide professional development, program supports, and resources for child care providers and others in the early education field.
Child Care Aware
® of Kansas Online Learning courses are designed for busy early childhood professionals. These courses meet annual KDHE training requirements for Licensure as well as training requirements for the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. Find courses that provide information and ideas for activities with children, such as:
Infants and Toddlers: Health and Safety
This course addresses health hazards found in child care facilities and methods of preventing illness among children. Learn safety hazards, along with indoor and outdoor safety practices and proper equipment maintenance.
Whooping Cough
This course discusses whooping cough, including symptoms and possible complications that can develop. The three stages of whooping cough, the importance of early diagnosis and treatment, and ways to help prevent the spread of the disease are also described.
Early Childhood Wellness Newsletter
The Early Childhood Wellness Newsletter is a monthly newsletter that is distributed electronically to child care providers. It includes helpful information focused on physical activity and nutrution. Also included is a "clip n' share" recipe - a great resource to share with parents!
