Inaugural Good Neighbor Award Given to Rodney Pena

Rodney Pena Good Neighbor Award
Irma Sanchez and Louis Jullien presented Rodney Pena (center) with the District's inaugural Good Neighbor Award.

Last week, Westchase District recognized longtime area resident, Rodney Pena for his many years as an engaged member of the community with the first ever Westchase District Good Neighbor Award.

"I've worked with Rodney for about 17 years and in that time, he's served as our eyes and ears on the street. He not only informs us of issues that require our attention, but contacts us to tell us when we're doing things right," said Irma Sanchez, Westchase District's vice president of projects. "He recently participated in our Mobility Plan Update as well as our Livable Communities Initiative, offering his valuable resident perspective. We're proud to have Rodney as a resident and we want to recognize him - and others in the future - for his contributions to the community."
