Join Us at Our 2019 Gala:
Immigrant Dreams, Hero Voices:
25 Groundbreaking Years
On Thursday, April 11, 2019, we will be hosting our Gala Dinner at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero to celebrate 25 Groundbreaking Years since we proposed a restoration of the immigration station.

Since 1994, AIISF has been recognized as a national leader in preserving immigrant history. From reaching National Historic Landmark status, to the ongoing preservation of the Immigration Station, and the thousands of students and visitors we educate everyday, we celebrate the achievements and milestones made by the Foundation over the years. We also recognize the heroes who have played an important role in raising public awareness of the Immigration Station and those who made the journey to America through the Pacific. We hope you will join us to celebrate our accomplishments and to support our continuing mission.
For our 2019 Immigrant Heritage Awards, we honor two special immigrants for their exceptional contributions bearing witness to the exceptional contributions of Asian immigrants, people once excluded from entry into the United States. Further, on this special evening – we wish to acknowledge the dedication and service of volunteer docents with the Spirit of Angel Island Award for leading thousands of school and visitor tours at the Immigration Station.
