For dahlia growers, the "New Year" takes place when we begin to wake up the tubers and germinate seed.  With the turn of the calendar year, our plans for the dahlia patch and patio garden are a welcome distraction from the cold weather. I, for one, think about the new varieties and old favorites that will bloom gloriously in 2018.
