Susan Green, his wife, became a deacon in 2017 and is now serving at St. Paul as well.

Compassionate Care for Asylum Seekers
Advocacy seeks to heal and transform society through long-lasting changes. Two recent advocacy actions in California and San Diego seek to improves the lives of asylum seekers. Last month, the Episcopal Public Policy Network (EPPN) of California issued a statement calling for the compassionate care of asylum seekers and other refugees in our state. This statement was co-signed by all California Episcopal bishops. Recognizing that San Diego is the first place where many asylum seekers go before moving on to sponsors, the EPPN of CA urged people to support the asylum seeker relief efforts here. The San Diego branch of the EPPN is open to Episcopalians in our diocese who wish to transform lives through advocacy. If you are interested in joining, please email the Rev. Janine Schenone.

Engage the Way of Love this Liturgical Season
The Most Rev. Michael Curry invites Episcopalians to explore the Way of Love, Practices for a Jesus-Centered Life. More than a program or curriculum, it is an intentional commitment to a set of practices--turn, learn, pray, worship, bless, go rest--that form us into the likeness of Jesus. To assist congregations with engaging the Way of Love throughout the liturgical year, the Episcopal Church offers these resources. If your ministry has developed a seasonal Way of Love offering, please share by emailing: wayoflove@episcopalchurch.org. We would love to feature it on the website and pray for our shared journey into new life.
