Circle of Concern:  Looking for a great volunteer opportunity? Well, you are in luck. Saturday, May 11 is the annual Postal Carriers Food Drive, benefiting Circle of Concern. Men and women (age 14 and older) are needed in two shifts at Ballwin Post Office (located on Manchester Road). Tasks will include unloading mail trucks as they come in from their routes, doing a rough sorting and boxing of food and loading the boxes onto trucks for delivery to Circle of Concern warehouse in Valley Park. Shifts are from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm and 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm(ish). Food and drinks provided. Knee pads and thin work gloves are a good idea. Too many volunteers is not an issue. In 2018, we brought in 85,000 pounds of food!! Let's make our presence felt in the community we all call home. Please email Scott Reichter, [email protected] to sign-up for a shift or for more information.

Haven House:
Making A Difference
Driving the shuttle vans is a very rewarding experience. You meet some of the nicest people from all over the world and you will witness many miracles of healing. Most of the time we drive the small Toyota mini van that comfortably fits 6 people. Very seldom do I have to take the big van which seats 12 easily. It is a Ford Econoline F-350 , a little larger than a full size pickup , but drives and handles nice with great visibility.  Give it a try, you will be blessed by the experience and appreciation the clients give you.
Steve Dickinson

HavenHouse has an opportunity to serve as a volunteer shuttle driver.  There are no special license requirements, except drivers need to have a clean record.  Shuttles will be running to and from the hospitals seven days per week, and drivers are needed to cover three shifts per day starting at 7:00 am - 11:00 am - 6:00 pm (one shift per driver).  Steve Dickinson has been doing this for some time now, so if you think you might be interested in this I would suggest you speak with Steve at [email protected].  Also, this is an excellent opportunity for volunteers to interact with the families.  This is open to all drivers - about the only other thing to think about is you'll need to be comfortable driving a 12 seat van (not a bus).  Please contact David Evans at [email protected] to volunteer.
