State Postsecondary Governance Structures

Education Commission of the State (March 2019)

ECS has updated its compendium of all 50 states' postsecondary governing structures. While Michigan of course does not have a state governing or coordinating board, this version of the compendium now recognizes other important actors, such as the State Budget Office and Treasury. MASU assisted in the completion of this report.

The Education Trust (March 2019)

Ranking all states, the Education Trust awards Michigan a grade of F for its public university share of enrollment of black undergraduates relative to the overall state black population. However, Michigan also has the 11 ^th smallest percentage point gap between black and white shares of undergraduate enrollment at selective public universities.
