Invest in a Child - March 1 - 31

The Season of Lent

Lent is the six week period leading up to Easter. During these 40 days, Christians around the world replicate Jesus' withdrawal and sacrifice in the desert. We use this time to prepare and reflect for the celebrations of Easter. The WCA Board of Directors have developed a Lenten Prayer Guide they will use to pray for our school. Please join us in these daily prayers.
This weeks' prayers are:

  • Sunday, March 10 - Celebrate the Sabbath
  • Monday, March 11 - JK Students & Mrs. Vickery
  • Tuesday, March 12 - Registration for 2019-2020
  • Wednesday, March 13 - Wisdom Regarding Facilities
  • Thursday, March 14 - Kindergarten Students & Mrs. Dye and Mrs. Swicegood
  • Friday, March 15 - Science Fair
  • Saturday, March 16 - Bible Classes & Spiritual Enrichment for Students & Teachers
Spring Craft Club!

Join Mrs. Martin, Spanish teacher, for the final session of Craft Club for the 2018-2019 school year! Possible projects include a burlap bunny (front door hanger), modge podge confetti eggs, a bunny can, bunnies on a 2x4 wooden block, a felt chick on a stick, and a modge podge flower pot. 

This club will take place on Thursdays from 3:00-4:00 p.m. for 6 weeks-- March 14th, 21st, 28th; April 4th, 11th, 18th. The cost is $125 and includes all supplies needed. This club is open to all students in EC and 3rd--8th grades.

Please register by March 11th, 2018. 
Golf Season Has Begun!
Our WCA Co - Ed Golf team had their first match play last week. We look forward to cheering them on to a great season! A full list of the matches can be found at the link below.

Ways to Contribute to WCA...

Here are a few easy ways to contribute to WCA...
  • Link your Harris Teeter Vic Card to #2903 (remember, you can link more than one organization)
  • Collect Box Tops on the sheets sent home with your student. When they are full, return them to school with your student name and grade. At the end of each month, the class with the most Box Tops collected wins a prize!!
  • Amazon Smile - shop with your regular account from smile.amazon.com and choose Weddington Christian Academy. A portion of your purchase will be donated to the school
