December 28th, 2018

Christmas day may have passed by a few days ago, but the miracle of Jesus' birth continues on in radical, wondrous ways. This Sunday, we're going to welcome in the new year with songs of praise and thanks to a God who chose to draw near to us, heal us and save us. As we look toward the next year, we're going to focus on the critical mission God gave us in the world: to make, mature and mobilize disciples who magnify Jesus Christ. God's work in this world and in our lives is not over just because Jesus was born. He's not done yet!

Join us as we hear from Trevor Miller in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship services; Prasanth Bethu will be speaking in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services. Let's close out 2018 with worship and renew our commitment to live and share the good news of Jesus with the world!

The Compassion Experience

Coming to Mt. Horeb on January 18th-21st, this Experience is a landmark presentation visiting churches, schools, and other venues across the country. The experience immerses guests in the reality of daily life in poverty that millions of children face around the world. It brings visitors into cultures completely outside of their own. Most importantly, the Experience presents the blessing of hope as children are sponsored through Compassion's world-class child development program. When deployed in a parking lot, the structure allows guests to take an immersive tour through replicas of the homes, environments, and stories of two children who have been a part of Compassion's program. Each guest is equipped with an iPod Touch and headphones to guide them through the Experience. At the end of the tour, guests enter a World Impact Room where they can view photos and information about children of all ages who are waiting for sponsors. As God leads, guests have the opportunity to sponsor one of these precious children on the spot. Registration for the Experience is online at compassionexperience.com.
