Success Story: Barnes & Noble Book Fair
Reading to End Racism Book Fair

Barnes & Noble joined YWCA Staff and community members on February 23, 2019 at the Barnes and Nobles in the Neshaminy Mall for a day full of activities centered on our Reading to End Racism program.

We featured Award-Winning Author Pamela Tuck , who read and even signed her book "As Fast As Words Could Fly.' The story is an inspiring testament to the power of hard work, determination and belief in yourself to overcome life's challenges.

Pamela also took the time to teach the children how to use a manual typewriter. The typewriter she brought to the book fair was her fathers' of whom the story in her book was about.

We had a program full of fun activities including an African dance performed by Afro-1 dance group directed by a former YWCA program participant, Ashaunti. The Sing Along Princesses read and took pictures with the children as well.

Funds raised through the book fair support the work of YWCA Bucks County.
