Luvk9s February monthly newsletter
Happy Valentine's Day! Did you know that February 10th is National Love Your Dog Day (as if we dog lovers need a special day for that!)

Congratulations to Flynn the bichon who won the Westminster Dog Show. For our readers who are agility fans, what a great run Fame, the border collie, had! Congratulations, Fame, for winnning the 2018 Masters Agility Championship!
He loves me, he loves me not
Building a bond with your dog
Does your dog follow you around the house? Does he wait by the window and watch for you when you leave the house? Does your dog do the happy dance when you come home? Does your dog (usually) come when called? These are just a few of the many indicators that you probably have an excellent bond with your dog.

Breed of the month: bichon frise
The bichon descended from the water spaniel and is a member of the non-sporting group.

Did you know that:
  • Henry III carried his bichon's around his neck in a basket?
  • Bichon's were originally bred to be hunting dogs?
  • Bichon's were often used in the circus as they love to entertain and are easy to train.
  • Bichon's are non-shedding, but their hair never stops growing so they require grooming every 6-8 weeks?

Upcoming group classes
it's time to register for Luvk9s March group classes. In addition to regular obedience and sport classes, we'll be offering a new class called the COMBO CLASS.

In the COMBO CLASS, we'll expose your dog to different activities every week including agility, noseworks and tricks. We'll also introduce your dog to the new sport of Hoopers. This is a great class for dogs of all ages, including senior dogs.

"The bond with a true dog is as lasting as the ties on this earth will ever be.”
