Summer Opportunities for Teens

Escape the winter blues and start planning for the summer! CollegeXpress offers a free online search tool with an extensive listing of summer camps and programs for academic study, arts and music, sports, travel abroad, and more! TeenLife also provides free online directories of summer programs, volunteer projects, and more.

Summer programs and community service work provide valuable opportunities for students to explore their interests, build leadership skills, gain independence and develop new friendships.

New England College Fairs

New England college fairs are beginning in the coming weeks and will continue through the spring. Get out your calendar and save the dates! All fairs are free and open to the public. Teens and parents are encouraged to attend.

NEACAC (New England Association for College Admission Counseling) sponsors college fairs throughout New England. Visit this website for the Spring 2018 schedule of fairs beginning in early March.

Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School will host a college fair on March 17. Students and families will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from colleges, as well as gap year and internship programs.

The MetroWest College and Career Fair will be at Ashland High School on March 24. Many colleges will be in attendance, as well as professionals from numerous industries who will be available to meet with students and parents.

The Education Cooperative will host a college fair on March 28 at Westwood High School. The fair enables students to network with various colleges to discuss admissions, college life and other information important to the college application process.
