FOOD/DRINK REMINDER
As a reminder - please pack food for your child if they have a long night ahead - instructors will allow for food breaks.  Please remind your child to eat food in lobby on picknic table ONLY - no food allowed in dressing room or class rooms.  Thanks!
REGISTERED IN BALLET?  - HAIR IN BUN REQUIRED!  NO EXCEPTIONS!

REGISTERED IN BREAKING OR HIP HOP?  - PANTS AND SNEAKERS REQUIRED!  NO EXCEPTIONS!

DANCERS WILL BE ASKED TO SIT OUT AND OBSERVE CLASS IF NOT IN DRESS CODE. 

CLASS REMINDER!
Ballet levels - combo, primary 1 & 2 - please have tights UNDER leotards. Levels 3 & 4 are permitted to have tights over leotards if they have a quick change into another class.
DRESS CODE 

Things are getting sloppy around here!
Those not dressed properly will be sent out of the class to change and a note sent home.

-Pre-Ballet AND HIGHER : Black Leotard/Pink Tights - HAIR IN BUN  * 1st week of month any color leotard is permitted * 

-Pre AND HIGHER Tap, Jazz, Acro, Lyrical, Modern : Any color Leotard or sports bra with dance shorts or leggings - NO TEE SHIRTS/TANK TOPS/LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING - HAIR UP

- Competition Choreo - ALL BLACK Leotard or sports bra with dance shorts or pants - HAIR UP

- Creative Movement, Twinkle Babies, Ballet/Tap - Any color leotard, tutu - Pink Leather Ballet Shoes

- Hip Hop/Jazz Combo - Any color Leotard dance shorts or leggings - NO TEE SHIRTS/TANK TOPS/LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING - HAIR UP - JAZZ SHOES

-Hip Hop/Breakdance is the ONLY class wear casual attire is permitted.  PANTS AND SNEAKERS REQUIRED.

Don't forget we have dancewear, shoes and tights available for purchase at the studio for your convenience.

It's important for students to abide by a dress code policy for the following reasons:
  • A neat and tidy appearance sets an attitude of attentiveness and respect for students, teacher, & the art of dance.
  • Teachers must be able to see the dancer's body outline clearly in order to make proper corrections on posture, alignment, etc.
  • Hair must be properly secured & tied up off of the face & neck for all styles of dance.
  • Jewelry must not be loose or dangling.
  • Gum chewing is not allowed due to danger of choking and appearance.
  • No loose fitting pants, jeans or t-shirts (they are not dance attire).
  • No costumes are allowed in class unless a dress up day is announced by the individual teacher.
DANCERS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR COVER-UPS WHEN ENTERING AND LEAVING THE STUDIO.
Don't forget that AAD has dancewear and dance shoes available for purchase!  Please refer to our dress code policy for details.

CLASS REMINDER!
Hi everyone! Please remind your dancers who are in tone/flexibility classes to bring sneakers to class. Thanks!

With it getting dark early we ask parents to please COME IN to the studio to pickup your child. We will not allow kids to wait outside after dark.

New! New! New! AAD is implementing a new dancer of the month program! Each month the AAD teachers will select their dancer of the month. These dancers will be entered into a drawing on recital day for a special prize! Congratulations to this months picks!!

JOIN AAD FOR A DANCE CONVENTION!
Good morning everyone! We'd like to invite your dancer to a dance convention coming up March 22-24 at the Westin Westminster. This is a chance for your dancer to take class in all dance styles with celebrity, and world class master instructors all within one weekend. Here's some info:

March 22-24
Weekend full of 45 min dance classes in the styles of Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Ballroom, and Musical Theatre!
Learn from master instructors such as Mallauri Esquibel, Lacey Schwimmer, and James Barry.
Scholarship and award opportunities for all ages from 4 years old and up!
Make a music video!
You can reserve times for your dancer to be professionally photographed!
Age and prices: 
4-6 years - $180
7-9 years - $260
10-12 years - $260
13-17 years - $260
This is an especially good opportunity if your dancer is interested in joining our award winning AAD Gems competition team next year - as they will get a taste of what our comp team dancers do throughout the year.
