In-House Spring Soccer Registration
Registration for Bloomingdale Park District In-House Spring Soccer takes place in January and February.

Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no refunds after April 6, 2019. All children registered during one of the three regular registration dates are assured placement on a team. No player requests will be granted other than sibling requests.

February 6, 10AM-Noon @ Stratford H23
February 10AM-Noon @ Museum

Oasis Season Passes on Sale February 1
Season passes for The Oasis Water Park go on sale February 1 online and in person at the Museum, 108 S. Bloomingdale Road in Bloomingdale.

In addition, there are two season pass kick-off events where participants can save $5 per pass and receive an Oasis T-shirt!

Passholders enjoy a bevy of benefits including:

  • Early daily admission

  • Discounted private rentals and parties

  • Option to purchase a VIP pass

  • Passholder Appreciation Night

  • Two one-day guest passes per family

Royal Princess Ball to be held February 8
Spend an enchanting evening with your special princess and make her dreams a reality at the Royal Princess Ball. Couples enjoy a memorable evening dancing to the music of the noble DJ as well as a grand dinner fit for royalty.

Every princess and her escort has the opportunity to take an elegant horse-drawn carriage ride to complete the festive evening. Each couple receives a photo to cherish for years to come.


Summer Job Fair Jan. 3
The Bloomingdale Park District is hiring! If you're 16 or older, attend the open house job fair from 3 to 6 p.m., January 3 at Stratford Square Mall H23. If you have questions or to send your application or resume ahead of time, contact liz@bloomingdaleparks.org.

Cartwheels & Crafts - January 4

Ages 3-7 enjoy tumbling, swinging and braving a balance beam while also making a winter-themed craft. First half is spent on gymnastics with second half on the craft. A milk and cookies snack occurs in between. Parents/caretakers must stay for this program.

Purely Active Adult Recreation Club

The Purely Active Adult Recreation Club (PAARC) offers a variety of entertaining activities for those 55+. The club meets every Friday, 10 a.m. to noon at the Bloomingdale Park District Museum. PAARC dates for January are 4, 11, 18 & 25.

School's Out Activities for January 

School's Out! provides endless opportunities for first through sixth graders on days off of school. Each day offers a variety of structured yet relaxed activities for your child to enjoy including games, sports, arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor playtime, cooking, trips, special events and a whole lot more.  Dates this month are January 2-4, 11, 16 and 21.

Johnston Recreation Center Renovation

The Bloomingdale Park District continues to actively plan the capital projects identified by the community as needing repair and/or improvement based upon the successful referendum in November 2016. Renovating the Johnston Recreation Center to include committed space for active older adult programming, improved early childhood/preschool space, and enhanced security throughout began May 2018 with a targeted completion date of Fall 2019.
