Black History Month Kickoff Celebration

New Parks, Recreation and Culture Guide out now!
Program registration opens February 10
The Spring/Summer 2018 Parks, Recreation and Culture Guide is now online. The searchable digital edition makes it easy to find exactly what you're looking for, and the note feature allows you to mark any pages you want to return to later. 

Guides are also available for pick up at community centres, seniors centres, libraries, pools, arenas and Town Hall.

Thanks to resident feedback, we're i ntroducing a variety of new healthy and active options for you to enjoy, including pickleball at Glenashton Park and stand-up paddleboard clinics at White Oaks Pool. 

Registration for residents starts February 10 at 9 a.m. and on February 20 at 9 a.m. for seniors.  Register early to avoid disappointment and don't forget to create an online registration account!

What to do if you spot a coyote 

With less leaves on trees coyotes may be more visible this time of year. The best way to avoid conflict with these animals is to frighten them away whenever you encounter them. Shout, wave your arms and throw small sticks in their direction. Check out our coyote hazing video  to learn more. If see a coyote let us know by completing our online reporting form.

Join our crossing guard team 

Looking for a way to provide an essential and valuable service to your community? Apply to be a school crossing guard and a member of our Walk to School program. Along with keeping children safe, benefits of the position include working close to home, spending a few hours outside each day, enjoying holidays and summers off and earning $15.39 per hour. 
Council business at Town Hall 

Upcoming meetings include the Administrative Services Committee (ASC) and Community Services Committee (CSC) meetings on Monday, January 22 at 7 p.m. at Town Hall. Items on the ASC agenda include an update on the town's diversity initiatives and CSC agenda items include the Climate Change Strategy.
