For four years, Tomas and Arturo relied on Dallas CASA

For four years in foster care, Tomas and Arturo relied on their Dallas CASA volunteer Ardo. Scared and unsure of what the next day might hold, the boys' stress manifested as physical and psychological symptoms, only exacerbating their stress. Ardo was the one person they came to rely on.  Visit Dallas CASA's blog   to learn more.
Dallas CASA Volunteer Brings Warmth to Difficult Situations

For Lisa Tenorio Truppa, Dallas CASA was hard to say no to. After attending an information session through her employer AT&T, Lisa completed her training and became a sworn child advocate. The role can be an emotional one, but Lisa says she tries to "apply empathy and grace to each case by taking time to understand the full picture" before applying quick judgments. Her volunteer supervisor says Lisa's open mind allows her to be a more effective advocate and communicator.  Visit Dallas CASA's blog   to learn more.
CASAblanca Brings Young Professionals Support

CASAblanca, the casino night party hosted by Dallas CASA's Young Professionals Feb. 2, brought a sold-out crowd of nearly 500 of Dallas' most festive and charitable young professionals together to support abused and neglected children.  Presented by The Hiduke Foundation, the fourth annual CASAblanca raised funds for the children served by Dallas CASA.  The ten-piece Special Edition Band kept the lively crowd dancing at The Hall on Dragon in Dallas' Design District. Volunteer advocate and Young Professionals member Megan Sterquell spoke to the crowd about her experience serving children in need, reminding everyone of the purpose for the evening.  Event co-chairs were Reasha Hedke, Elise Nichols and Dana Swann. Dallas CASA's Cherish the Children Luncheon Just One Month Away

Tickets and tables are available now for Dallas CASA's Cherish the Children luncheon April 5 at the Omni Dallas Hotel. Luncheon co-chairs are Gina Porter and Nicki Stafford  In recognition of its commitment to the children of our community, the Dallas CASA Children's Council will honor Rosewood with the Caroline Rose Hunt Cherish the Children Award. Inspired by Mrs. Hunt and her constant dedication to the most vulnerable in our city, Rosewood Corporation and the Rosewood Foundation have been supporters of Dallas CASA for many years, making an impact on the lives of Dallas children through consistent and generous gifts.  The Cherish the Children luncheon raises funds by auctioning artfully-designed, one-of-a-kind children's chairs and furnishings. Proceeds are used to support the volunteer advocates who help abused children find safe, permanent and loving homes.
