UHC HOSTS VALENTINE'S DAY ICE CREAM SOCIAL AT PARLIER SCHOOL-BASED

Families in Parlier enjoyed a Valentine's Day Ice Cream Social at the UHC Parlier School-Based Health Center on February 16 th . The free event included several flavors of ice cream from Baskin Robbins and provided information about UHC services. More than 250 students attended the social, which was coordinated by marketing staff and UHC volunteers. City of Parlier Police Officers also staffed a table and provided safety information to children.

UHC RECOGNIZES PERFECT ATTENDANCE

On February 22 nd , UHC staff awarded students with perfect attendance at the Parlier High School.  As part of the Attendance Matters Campaign, in partnership with the Parlier Unified School District and the City of Parlier, UHC encourages perfect attendance. The goal is to  raise awareness about the value of regular school attendance with a focus on reducing chronic absenteeism by staying healthy and seeing the doctor regularly. 

Parlier High School Principal, Lorenzo Rodriguez, joined UHC Community & Staff Development Officer, David Phillips, Linzy Urrutia, P.A.-C., as well as, Alicia Gallegos, HCA.

CCHCC RECOGNIZES ITS PAST PRESIDENTS


UHC Community Outreach Specialist, Mark Lozada; UHC Board Member, Jose Plascencia and former UHC Community Programs Manager, Jose Arreguin were recognized as former Presidents of the Central California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce during the organization's Monthly Amigo Luncheon in Fresno on February 15 th .  

CCHCC President and former UHC employee, Brandie Carpenter expressed appreciation for their leadership and commitment to investing in Fresno's business community. Each of the Past Presidents were awarded a special mug and certificate from the Fresno Mayor's Office.



UHC WELCOMES FEBRUARY VOLUNTEERS

 
UHC PROMOTES PATIENT SERVICES ON UNIVISION

Tune in to Univision 21 Fresno on weekday mornings at 6:00 a.m. to watch UHC Director of Communications, Ricardo Viveros, promoting UHC Programs and upcoming UHC Foundation events with host, Lupita Lomeli.

On February 7th, Ricardo was joined by UHC Foundation Ambassador Andrea Andrade to discuss the Prom Treasures program, which provides Prom attire for low income students. 

On February 21st, Ricardo discussed how UHC is ensuring access to comprehensive, quality health care through the free UHC Patient Transportation Service.
