Update on Cardinal Camp!
We are excited to welcome our 9th graders to the Bellaire High School family! Cardinal Camp is traditionally a one-day in-person orientation for incoming freshmen at BHS.  Due to COVID-19, our freshmen orientation will be delivered in multiple stages as school begins. Friday, August 28th, students will have access to information about various student support personnel and offices that are available to them for support as their school year begins. Club information and videos will be posted for students so that they can begin to familiarize themselves with our school culture while also beginning to select the organizations that they may want to join.
Similar to the HISD-produced Parent Intro Course to Virtual Learning, HISD has produced a Student Introduction to Virtual Learning module as well.  The HISD has planned to have this online course available to students soon with the intent to assist them with their transition to this new digital environment. All of the resources will be available on our website and all students will have access to them from any device. Students who have not yet completed the enrollment process or that have not picked up their district device will still be able to view them.
Tuesday, September 1st at 6:30 pm:  Mr. McDonough will host a Live Back to School Update for families.  We encourage all students and their families to watch as the Live Update will have information and procedures for students to follow for the first week of school.
September 10th at 2:00 pm:  All 9th-grade students will be enrolled in the Cardinal Camp Course within the HUB.  Freshmen will attend a "Meet My Crew Leader" event and connect with two Bellaire upper-classmen student leaders. These Cardinal Crew Leaders will serve as mentors and small group facilitators for our freshmen throughout the school year.

Friday, September 11th at 2:00 pm:  Bellaire will host a Virtual Club Jamboree.  9th grade students will attend this event through the HUB and they will have the chance to virtually visit rooms in which club members will be waiting to greet them, share information, and answer any questions.
