ALL SAINTS' CHRISTMAS 2018
"Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace among those whom he favors!"
|

This Christmas was truly a time of Joy for the All Saints' `Ohana. Choral music, guest musicians, Rev. Sandy, the Keiki Service, and festive Christmas Masses highlighted the season. A Christmas Open House brought the parish together for fellowship and celebration. Mahalo nui loa to all who contributed to this outstanding celebration of the birth of our Lord.

NEWS FROM BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS
We Need You To Support Rectory Enhancements
|
|
CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
- ANYONE WHO CAN HANDLE A PAINTBRUSH WITHOUT BEING A DANGER TO THEMSELVES OR OTHER PEOPLE!
- ANYONE WHO IS A CLEAN FREAK OR TIDY FREAK TO CLEAN AND ORGANIZE THE LAUNDRY AREA, KITCHEN, BEDROOMS, BATHROOMS AND NURSERY/OFFICE.
|
|
The Rectory will be open and accessible every day. Just let David Murray and Chris Wataya know that you will be coming and what you are coming to do - i.e. painting or cleaning/organizing.
Our first long-term supply priest will be arriving on January 3
rd
to stay with us for 3 months. Fr. Ray Sheldon and his wife Jere will be arriving January 3
rd
and they will be staying in the rectory. That means we have less than one week to complete the painting in the dining room, living room and tv room.
We need to get the painting completed and also get the place cleaned up, tidy and ready to welcome our visitors.
We will have a professional cleaner come in to clean the floors (and do a final sweep) on January 2
nd
so no need worry about them. But everything above floor level is fair game.
We would appreciate any and all help.
Mahalo,
-for Buildings and Grounds
David Murray

MAHALO NUI LOA!!
All Saints' Celebrates God's Blessings: In-Gathering of Pledges
|
|
Every faculty you have, your power of thinking or of moving your limbs from moment to moment, is given you by God. If you devoted every moment of your whole life exclusively to His service, you could not give Him anything that was not in a sense His own already.
– C. S. Lewis, Mere Christianity
|
|
Mahalo
to everyone who has already made an individual pledge of support to the on-going work of God through All Saints' Episcopal Church and Preschool for the 2019 fiscal year. Many of you mailed in your pledges early and others preferred to present their pledges during the Offertory on December 9
th
. Again we thank you and see your faith in the Lord and His servants at All Saints' as a model to us all!
To those who have not yet pledged - it's never too late! Keep those pledges coming.
All Saints' is truly blessed to have such a wonderful, caring congregation. We look forward to sharing this Christmas season with you all and also look forward to an interesting 2019. Who knows what the New Year may bring. However, we do know that it will be a good year because....
"We were made to "Thrive!"
Mahalo nui loa! And may God continue to bless All Saints’ Church and our All Saints’ ‘Ohana.
David Murray, Sr. Warden
Mary Margaret Smith, Jr. Warden

Prayer for the Search Committee
|
|
O God of patient and gentle strength, who knows our needs even before we ask, may your loving presence guide us as we seek the next rector for All Saints' Church. Give us an open spirit, discerning hearts and clear minds, that we may trust your will for us and become ever more united in your son our Savior, Jesus Christ. Inspire our conversation, deepen our prayer, and make us a community of humility and grace. Raise up for us, we pray, a priest and pastor who will boldly proclaim your Gospel, faithfully administer your sacraments, and serve your people with love and compassion.
All this we ask through Jesus our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen.
