Houmas House Plantation and Gardens

What Are You Thankful For?

Are you as excited as I am about the approaching holidays? We always have exciting events to commemorate the holiday season.  There are so many reasons to be thankful and to celebrate with friends and family.

Our Annual Thanksgiving  Buffet  is always a wonderful family affair. With a spread fit only for a Sugar Baron, you will be so thankful for spending your day with us.   See The Menu HERE

Speaking of Thanksgiving, just after dinner we begin the week-long task of decorating for Christmas!  By November 30th, tens of thousands of lights will be hand strung throughout the Mansion and gardens along with eight fully decorated trees.  This is sure to be the most bombastic display along the Great River Road!

During the holidays, it's always nice to plan a special event for your friends or office.  Now is the time to plan your office soiree, luncheon or dinner.   I cannot think of a more elegant way to exchange gifts and spread holiday cheer!

PS. Gift certificates are a great gift idea for our Inn at Houmas House or any of our restaurants.

Much Love,
Princess Maggie
