Meet Jeffrey Philpott...

Host of Radio Nomadica on KVMR - alternate Saturdays from 10pm-midnight. Recently celebrating his 1-year Anniversary of hosting Radio Nomadica, Jeffrey features the best of classic and contemporary downtempo, trip-hop and world groove genres from his vast collection.

Raised in the Bay Area, where mainstream music was the universal standard, Jeffrey was fortunate to be raised by his music loving parents, who shared with him the versatile selections of various genres - from classical to folk to classic rock and everything in between. Thus Jeffrey grew up with a tremendous passion for music. Music was and always is playing - at home, at work, in the car...He describes it as "The soundtrack to our lives."

Jeffrey is a great asset to KVMR and sees the value it provides to the community. He states, "KVMR is the 'kitchen table' of our community. It's where we hear about positive happenings; it's where we meet when tragic things happen, where we celebrate and listen to live music festivals, and even where we get information on local fires and power outages."

Shamus McClure of Milk Man Toner Company is a huge Johnny Cash fan. And also of Waylon, Willie and the Boys. That was evident when seeing the "social workspace" he created for himself, and his employees in downtown Lincoln, before the business grew out of that space and has since moved to Loomis.

The Milk Man space was cool, fun and inspiring to work within, and play in, too. There was a pool table, bar and of course a pro sound system and staging complete with lighting. But the highlight of the office space was the huge Sun Record Company label emblazoned on the brick wall.
