Entering 10th year of the
PrairieFire renewal program
- Flourishing since 2008, when Kathy Reardon and Kay Riley launched the pioneer cohort.
- Graduating six cohorts and 120 participants in total.
- Training more than 50 spiritual directors through the third year practicum in partnership with the Sophia Center in Atchison, Kansas.
- Continuing with a new 2018-2020 cohort, and two new co-directors, Diane McClanahan and Suzanne Stout.

Training the next generation of high quality clinicians.

Dr. Mark Poeppe, licensed psychologist, successfully completed his postdoc work and licensing through the Center's training program and is now serving children and adults as a staff psychologist. |
|
Danielle Lloyd, t.L.I.S.W., successfully completed her graduate training practicum at the Center and now provides counseling for children and adolescents through the Center's C.O.O.L.practice.

Psychologist, Eva Christiansen, Ph.D., presented at the annual Society for Personality Assessment conference, in Washington, DC, in March of 2018. She is the Center's staff assessment psychologist, known for her enthusiasm for personality testing in general and using the Rorschach procedure in particular. She has contributed to the process of developing the Rorschach Performance Assessment System (R-PAS) and is teaching the method to other psychologists in the Center and in the region.

Des Moines Pastoral Counseling Center is a nonprofit, nonsectarian organization
serving more than 3,700 individuals annually including children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
Although best known for its 45 years of quality, professional mental health therapy, the Center is a multi-faceted organization providing a range of services:
- Counseling, including specialized services for children and adolescents
- Psychological testing and assessment
