CSTP Awarded Micro-Grant for Student Perception Toolkit

silver-keyboard2.jpg CSTP was recently awarded a highly competitive micro-grant to develop a Student Perception Professional Learning Toolkit to support deeper learning and impact on teacher practice and instruction based on student perception survey results. The micro-grant is funded by 2Revolutions, a national education design lab that is focused on rethinking professional development. CSTP is one of only six grantees funded.

CSTP, along with the other grant recipients, will spend the spring and summer implementing a plan to transform the traditional stand and deliver professional development model into something much more flexible, engaging, and effective. The group includes professional development providers, school districts, a national nonprofit, and a magnet school -- together serving a diverse array of students from rural, suburban, and urban communities across the country. Each grantee will use innovative professional learning processes and the Learn Next free and open resources to spark transformation in their local context and in the broader field. To learn more about CSTP and the other grantees, read this announcement blog and stay tuned for more updates: https://www.2revolutions.net/blog/rethinkpd.

Camp CSTP Returns with New Sessions

CampCSTPIt's never too soon to start making your summer time plans and we hope your plans include Camp CSTP! This week-long teacher leadership professional learning opportunity will take place July 23-26, 2019, at the Rainbow Lodge in North Bend.

July 23-24, 2019 - Leading with an Equity Lens - Exploring CSTP's Teacher Leadership Framework:
If you've experienced CSTP's Teacher Leadership Framework before or not at all, you'll want to attend this exciting session to explore the improved Teacher Leadership Framework, which describes the knowledge, skills and dispositions necessary to be an effective teacher leader. During this session participants will analyze and reflect on their own strengths and create an action plan for their next steps on their leadership journey with an emphasis on equity. Participants will leave this session with a solid foundation for understanding teacher leadership, as well as materials and activities they can use with colleagues and teacher leadership opportunities to consider and explore.
July 24-25, 2019 -Setting the Stage for High-Functioning PLCs:
Effective PLCs start with developing relationships and structures to support adult learning. Participants will reflect on current PLCs structures and explore how to create and maintain a high functioning environment for professional learning. Building on CSTP's Teacher Leadership Framework, participants will delve into this work from a case study perspective to learn about culture, risk-taking and impact on student learning. Maximize this experience by attending with a team of teachers and administrators. Come ready to share PLC experiences, questions and dilemmas to practice learning from each other.

** NEW THIS SUMMER ** July 25-26, 2019 -Leveraging the Instructional Coach and Administrator Partnership:
