From Priscilla's Desk
The joy that comes from explorations in foreign lands – something that we all so value and miss. There are days when that freedom feels quite a ways off. But we will have that freedom again and we're so inspired by all that the safari industry is doing to make it possible for us to get back to the African wilderness, with confidence.

For now, enjoy updates on the industry, inspiration and some beauty from Africa.
Latest Update
As we move through this Covid haze, we are delighted to see more African countries opening up their borders to welcome visitors. Countries like Tanzania, Rwanda, Kenya and Egypt are forging ahead, with Covid-19 procedures safeguarding the safety of their beloved guests. While other popular safari destinations like Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia and South Africa are working through their stages - still closed to international visitors but encouraging local/domestic travel - giving them the opportunity to test out the latest safety protocols.

As of today, you are able to fly to various parts of Europe and the few countries that are 'open' in Africa with more routes becoming available.
We are encouraged by the countries that have decided to open up and heartened by travelers who were happy to test out the new protocols with great success. Safari properties/staff are more than ready to receive guests with enthusiasm, great anticipation and special offers!

All this to say, we are excited - and ready! - to help you start planning your safari. With wilderness experiences being at the top of the travel list for many, 2020 bookings moved to 2021, and increased booking flexibility, we anticipate space will be at a premium soon.

If a safari is on your wish list for the next year or two, don't wait too long to start planning. We are here to assist when you are ready.
Planting the Seed of Inspiration - Tanzania
One of our favourite companies to work with in Tanzania is Nomad Tanzania. We find in them a kindred spirit where they embrace life, love and the pursuit of wilderness - their tag line says it all!
While we have to confess that we prefer the lesser travelled Southern TZ circuit during 'normal' times - Nomads Northern circuit is currently open and ready for you! Here is a 7 night tantalizing itinerary for you to check out featuring Tarangire, Ngorongoro Highlands and the Serengeti National Parks.

All for approximately US$6,400 per person (certain terms and conditions apply). You'll have your very own private safari vehicle and guide throughout. Email us for further inquiries.

A Treat For You!
Here at Global Sojourns, over the years we have cultivated many special relationships with various camps, lodges and guides to be able to offer our clients the best possible experience - this 'treat' is part of that!
We are delighted to introduce one of our close friends who happens to be a wonderful guide and photographer. It can be hard to convey a person's warm, kind, patient and inclusive nature through words so, when the time comes for you to actually meet Ananda - you'll know what we mean!
Her experience in the field of photography spans over 20 years where she has led many people on their journeys to various countries in Africa. She calls Cape Town, South Africa her home - one of *the* most photogenic places in the world!

We are absolutely thrilled that Ananda has graciously offered 10 spots (to be split into two groups) to our readers for one of her online photography/ mentoring classes! Ideal for the beginner or intermediate photographer to get the most out of your photos. Giving you time to learn - and practice! - your skills before you head off on your safari next year.

Please send an email to pam@globalsojourns.com with the subject 'Ananda', along with your name, experience level and camera details. The first 10 people to respond will get a spot so don't delay!
For more information about Ananda and her photography, feel free to visit her website.
