Thank you!

Thank you, Peabody families, students, and administrators, for supporting the PhD program in Clinical Psychology in the Psychology Department of the University of Virginia! We just ended our last testing session this past weekend, and I want to thank all of you for helping us this year. We had five wonderful volunteers help our five graduate students practice giving the WISC-V!

For those of you who considered volunteering this year but were unable to do so, we need volunteers every Fall. Please consider contacting us regarding your interest at [email protected] , and we can hold onto your information and contact you, directly next fall, when we send out our request to the Newsletter.

It was wonderful to meet the parents and children, and I hope I get to meet more of you in the future! Thank you, all, so very much!

Support the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank

Did you know that in our community there are 131,800 people who don’t know where or when their next meal will be, and that 1 in 8 children in our area suffer from hunger? Ms. Wynn’s Middle School Hunger Elective (Ronak, Ellena, Lila, Miles, Sahalia, Kes) is taking the extra step to create a food drive and fundraiser for the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, BRAFB, serves an average of 106,000 people every month. From January 6 - 24, you will have the chance to help them and community by donating baby products such as diapers and baby food, and money. Every $1 you donate provides 4 whole meals for hungry people. Canned food donations and non-perishable food items are also greatly appreciated. Here is a list of the Food Bank’s “Most Needed Items”. Thank you!
Help Needed!

We are so excited to have the new wing open this spring! We are looking to put some final touches on the esthetics of the new space and need your help! It is critical to create a space that is both inclusive, motivating and supportive of all students' academic success. If you are interested in helping envision the final touches of the new space, there will be a meeting on Tuesday, January 13 at 8:30AM in the Batten Conference Room. Please send Mr. Orlando an email if your are interested in participating!
