Employers and Partners recognized for their important role in people's lives
ProAct’s 2018 Employer of the Year for its Red Wing location, SpartanNash , has worked with dozens of individuals with disabilities, providing work assessment sites and hiring individuals who receive support from the established disability nonprofit. -more-

Providing exemplary work opportunities in Eagan, TreeHouse Foods and DARTS were named for the nonprofit’s annual awards. TreeHouse Foods, a large food supplier, is the 2018 Business Partner of the Year and DARTS, which serves older adults in and around Dakota County, is the 2018 New Employer Partner of the Year. -more-

Troy from Cottage Grove didn't work until he came to ProAct about 10 years ago. He's met friends and found a sense of accomplishment in what he does.
New Options ProAct 50th event
New Options ProAct in Shakopee, which has been managed by ProAct since January 2018, is celebrating 50 years of operation on Tuesday, October 23 from 5 to 8 p.m. There's food, dancing and more. Please RSVP with Jamie Mohlin -details-
Real help on farm, great memories
Red Wing's Tim Borchert offers a helping hand to "Grandpa Jim" on a farm in Cannon Falls.

He hauls brush, tills the soil and gets rid of weeds. It's a regular commitment. Borchert even moved Jim's possessions out of a basement for a major cleanup due to flooding.

Borchert hears stories of the Great Depression and fondly remembers his own grandfather.
Army's 'Golden Knights' team visit
ProAct participants from Red Wing made a hands-on connection with the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team.

Six individuals got a memorable education watching practice jumps at the Red Wing airport this summer, visiting with pilots and trying on chute backpacks.They toured planes and folded chutes.
