Active Member Meeting Notice
NIA's Business Session will be taking place Thursday, April 4, 2019, 9:55-10:05 a.m. ET (Andros 1-6 meeting room). Active members (Contractors, Distributors/Fabricators, and Laminators) should plan to attend this meeting as you will be electing new members to the Board of Directors, voting on the association's 2019-2020 budget, and reviewing other association business.

Be an Insulation Advocate!
Free registration is now open for the 2019 Insulation Industry National Policy Conference and Capitol Hill Fly-In, May 21-22, 2019, in Washington, DC. The event will bring insulation industry members together with top law and policymakers to discuss the industry's top priorities and concerns and advocate for policies that strengthen and promote the energy-efficiency benefits achieved through insulation.
The conference includes a luncheon and presentations with high-profile speakers on immigration and workforce policy, infrastructure and disaster resilience, and climate change policy, along with advocacy training and pre-arranged Capitol Hill meetings.
All NIA members are welcome to attend the 2019 conference and fly-in, and no previous lobbying experience is necessary. Please join fellow members for this unique experience. The event is organized by the Insulation Industry Association Council (IIAC), of which NIA is a founding member.

New Dates for NIA's Thermal Insulation Inspector Certification
NIA's new Thermal Insulation Inspector Certification program will educate and train insulation inspectors on how to evaluate installation work and determine whether it is compliant with mechanical insulation specifications.
May and June classes will take place in Houston, Texas, on:

- June 25-28, 2019

Spring and Fall Appraisal Courses Now Open for Registration
Benefits of Becoming a Certified Energy Appraiser
NIA's 2-day Insulation Energy Appraisal Program (IEAP) course teaches students how to determine optimal insulation thickness and how a properly selected, specified, designed, installed, and maintained mechanical insulation system saves money and enhances system performance.
Certified appraisers who are NIA members are promoted on NIA's website.
- Spring IEAP Course, June 12-13, 2019, Sheraton Baltimore Washington Airport - BWI. Register by May 23, 2019.
- Fall IEAP Course, September 24-25, 2019, Sheraton North Houston at George Bush Intercontinental. Register by September 6, 2019.
