March Enrollment Madness!
March is the time to start finalizing registrations for families for next year as well as making sure all the right documents are in place! If you’re not sure how to reach families, here are some ideas:

  • Host an Open House.
  • Put Information into your church bulletin.
  • Send information home with religious education families.
  • Speak at Mass about the program.
  • Have a Shadow Day where a potential student can come and check out the classroom.
  • Put out a press release that you are now enrolling along with the benefits and successes of your school.
  • Tap into your current parents for referrals. Offer to waive current parent enrollment fees for recommending a new student.

Lori Paul is available to help you with any of your marketing and enrollment efforts. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to her!
Walk to Mary Brochures
If your school would like to participate in the Walk to Mary pilgrimage on May 4th, there are information brochures available. Please contact Lori Paul to have some sent to you.
Choice Application and Verification

If you participate in the Choice program, you should be checking the Online Application System to find out which families have applied and what you need to do to complete their application. Go to https://dpi.wi.gov/sms/choice-programs/oas and click on Online Application System. Enter the username and password you received from DPI and a list will appear. The school is responsible for all verification and it has to be completed by April 17, 2019 to insure it is registered with DPI. Some of the data may take time to collect so don’t wait! Start looking at your applications now. If you need help, please contact Lori Paul .
From the Office of Vocations

Greetings all Principals and Teachers!
This is probably a few months late, but I wanted to take a moment to say hello and introduce myself as the new Vocation Director for the Diocese. I take over for Fr. Dan Schuster who held the position for 8 years and did a great job with it. I know I have met many of the principals and teachers already, but there are many more, so I wanted to make sure to introduce myself and to let you all know if that if I could be of any assistance to you in helping promote vocations, I am happy to do so. I’ve gone to a few schools and classrooms already to offer some insights and share my own personal story, but I’d be happy to get to more. So, if you are interested at all, my e-mail is mmleziva@gbdioc.org , and my number is 920-272-8293. I look forward to hearing from you, and God bless you in your important ministry!
In Christ,
Fr. Mark Mleziva .

  • Interesting Article regarding children and lock-down drills. Active-Shooter Drills Are Tragically Misguided. There’s scant evidence that they’re effective. They can, however, be psychologically damaging—and they reflect a dismaying view of childhood. ERIKA CHRISTAKISMARCH 2019 ISSUE
