End of Year Celebration


Tomorrow, May 31, PTO and your Admin Team will host an end-of-the-year celebration - celebrating our first full year as a P-8 charter school, among many other accomplishments!  There will be inflatables on the turf field, and snow cones will be available for purchase from the  Kona Ice truck (send cash with your kids!)

Snow Cone Prices:

* Small $4 (12 oz size)
* Medium $5 (16 oz size)
* Large $6 (20 oz size)

Schedule:

9:00-10:00am - Grades 5, 6 and 7 (8th grade will be on their trip,  but any 8th graders in attendance can come out with 7th grade)
10:00-11:00am - Grades 3 and 4
11:00-12:00pm - Grades 1 and 2

Preschool and Kindergarten students are not in attendance on May 31. However, they are invited to return to school for our celebration as long as they are accompanied and supervised by a parent at all times.

Lost & Found Final Clean Out
 

The Lost & Found will be cleaned out after school tomorrow, May 31. Students have until tomorrow to claim their items. Everything left will be donated or tossed, depending on condition.

2019-20 School Supply Kit Online Ordering is OPEN!
 

The sale ends  June 15! PTO is once again giving parents the opportunity to purchase school supply kits. Save yourself trips to the store and benefit our school at the same time. Act now and purchase your student's kit for the  2019-20 school year! All kits are aligned with the teacher provided  school supply lists for the year.

Please notice a few things before ordering a kit online:
  • Grades PreK-8 have separate homeroom kits and kits per language. 
  • Grades 6-8 Math and Algebra have separate kits; add-on binders and calculators are an option.
  • Kits do not include food items or earbuds.

French Field Trip to Caf é Ciboulette

 
On May 9, the 3rd and 4th graders enjoyed eating les crêpes, les gauffres et les smoothies (crepes and waffles). The owner, Azzédine, from Morocco, was pleased to welcome our students in his café.

Last Day is an Early Release Day. Tomorrow,  May 31, 1st -4th grade students will be released @ 12:15pm and 5th-7th grade students will be released @ 12:30pm . Students will be released before lunch. 

Congratulations, Graduates! Congratulations to our Kindergarteners and 8th graders! We are proud of all of your hard work!

From Ms. Armstrong...Congratulations cast and crew of Peter Pan Jr. on a great show run! Also great job to the middle school choir on your final concert of the year. Thank you to all of the students, staff, and parents for your support and contributions to the Performing Arts Program! 

2019-20 School Hours. Effective for the 2019-20 school year, school hours will be as follows:

Preschool AM 8:00am - 11:00am
Preschool PM 12:15pm - 3:15pm
Half Day K AM 8:00am - 11:30am
Full Day K - 4th Grade 8:00am - 3:20pm
5th - 8th Grade 8:00am - 3:30pm

2019-20 FORMAL UNIFORMEducational Outfitters will continue to be our formal uniform supplier next year.  VIEW FLYER and take advantage of their sales May-July.

6th Grade Outdoor Ed Parent Meeting. Will you have a 6th grader next year? Mark your calendars for an Outdoor Ed Parent Informational Meeting on  September 5, 6:30pm. This is an overnight field trip to Stone Canyon Outdoor Edventures that our 6th graders participate in annually. The trip will take place October 23-25. For planning purposes, the cost for the 2018-19 school year was $260. We have seen a small increase in cost from year to year, and we are still finalizing the 2019-20 cost.  Additional information will be sent out next fall.
