LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

It's been a great run 2018, but something's telling us that 2019 will be bigger and brighter than ever. Wishing each and every one of our IES-APA colleagues a wonderful Holiday Season and cheers (with real champagne...or sparkling cider!) to a prosperous New Year!
ANNOUNCEMENTS
HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM YOUR IES-APA BOARD!

On December 7th, the IES-APA Board had their annual end of the year retreat to discuss 2018 and upcoming 2019 activities, and of course the 2020 Riverside Conference. We discussed everything exciting like the annual budget, board member responsibilities, CPF updates, and programming. In all seriousness, it was a very informative meeting where we all said "aye" after John asked, "all in favor?". Afterwards, we enjoyed a stroll around the Mission Inn in all its holiday glory.

We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and cheers to what's to come in 2019! And to all of our municipal professionals on winter break - let's take this time to decompress and relax before we return to the public counter. Happy Holidays and wish you all a Happy New Year!
2020 APA-CA CONFERENCE RIVERSIDE - FIRST TIME EVER!

Statewide APA Conference Coming to Riverside for the First Time Ever!

Want to Be a Part of the Fun & Excitement?!

Sign up to work on a Conference Sub-Committee!!!

While it takes many planners ( and non-planners) to make a conference successful, the members of the various sub-committees are critical elements to the success of the conference.  The sub-committees are directly responsible for deciding the conference sessions, organizing workshops, receptions, and ensuring that the conference has sufficient staffing.  Participating in a conference sub-committee offers significant opportunities to network with fellow planners and also tremendous opportunities for professional growth.

The Inland Empire Section of the APA Board is currently looking for members to participate in the following committees:

- Programs
- Mobile Workshops
- Student Day
- Opening and Closing Receptions
- Diversity
- Sponsorships
- CPF Events

We ask that all interested persons email our IES APA Webmaster and let us know which committee you would like to participate in by January 16, 2019.  Members of the Section Board will review all requests and make committee assignments at that point.  We anticipate holding an Conference Kick-Off meeting at the end of February.
