Donald A. Brown
(February 1, 1929 – March 6, 2019)
Palm Beach Dramaworks is deeply saddened by the passing of Don Brown, whose friendship, generosity, and mentorship had a profound impact on the company and those who work here.

“Don was a fierce champion of PBD and played an important role in shaping who we are today,” said Managing Director Sue Ellen Beryl. “He loved helping others and was quick to assist with his wisdom and wealth whenever asked. He’d been with PBD from our earliest years, and his optimism, warmth, and good nature truly brought great joy to everyone who knew him. He will be sorely missed.”

“There are no words to adequately express the greatness of Don’s character or our sadness at his passing,” said Producing Artistic Director William Hayes. “Don was a longtime member of our Board of Directors and an ardent champion of our theatre and our community. His generosity extended not just to other arts organizations, but to many worthwhile causes. His passing leaves a great void.”

PBD extends its heartfelt condolences to Don’s wife, Ann.
