WINTER 2018 CALENDAR
The calendar is galloping along with the seasons changing and our thoughts of 2019 on the horizon. The American-Scottish Foundation has several events planned alongside projects we are undertaking and spotlighting.
Lots of news to share in the weeks ahead.
ASF hope you will join us in welcoming
The National Youth Choir of Scotland who are bringing the soaring voices of over 110 choristers to New York,
the highlight of which is a performance at
Carnegie Hall
on October 15th.
Prior to performing at Carnegie Hall on Monday October 15th, NYCoS will sing on
Sunday October 14th at 12.30pm
on the Fountain Terrace of
Bryant Park, a performance
for the community.
The following day the Choir add their wonderful voices to the rarely heard Berlioz's Lelio with Sir John Elliot Gardiner & the Orchestre Revolutionnaire et Romantique
October 15th - 8pm
Carnegie Hall
Stern Auditorium, Perelman Stage
Alongside NYCoS will be tenor Michael Spyres, bass-baritone Ashley Riches and British actor Simon Callow as narrator.

Rory Hedderly, Second Secretary for Scottish Affairs for North America, webinar link ups and guest speakers from Scotland

Sunday morning - A time to look at "the take away" and to 2019
Join us in welcoming the ARCHIE Foundation NY Marathon runners after they compete the NY Marathon

will offer musical interludes with
Mike Ogotree and Shortbread

An auction will bring opportunity to help support the ongoing work of the ASF and an ASF Grant to the new
Baird Family Hospital in Aberdeen
and its Neo Natal unit being overseen by the
ARCHIE
Foundation alongside the University of Aberdeen
The Wallace 2019 Awards
for Arts. Heritage & Culture will be presented to
Sir Moir Lockhead, National Trust for Scotland, Chairman,
and
Andy Scott,
BA, internationally acclaimed sculptor
